So far I've built and flown a GWS A-10. Not bad on EDF55 with the GWS BLM005a (3900kv) inrunners on 3S. Would have been better on 4S though.
I've seen Mike's F-15 fly. It could use a power boost as well. Those same inrunners will work on the EDF64s, and on 4S it will be a much better flyer.
I just got the GWS A-4 at the AMA Convention. Man this thing makes the F-15 seem puny! Big ole EDF75 (new and improved version) fan which I need to get a motor for.
I also just received in the mail from GWS a new Chinese J-10 all-purpose fighter EDF. This thing looks like a cross between an F-16 (nose, cockpit, tailsection) and a Eurofighter (boxed intake, delta wing, canards up front). It also comes with the new EDF75 and a brand new GWS 28mm inrunner (3800kv) that tested at 850g (30oz) of thrust in open air. The kit AUW is supposed to be about 875g (31oz). We'll see how it goes. If it works well, I may get the same motor for the A-4.
GWS has made some pretty good advances on their kits lately. They are also starting to put kits out in EPO foam (much like Multiplex's Elapor foam). These are mostly slope gliders as they tend not to have landing gear and generally take more abuse. But there's no reason why you can't power one (already been done). Heck, who knows, maybe I'll get Joe to finally fly a beer cooler!
