Pictures of my new Stevens RV-4,  Scorpion 2215-18, probably overkill.  Just about ready for it's first flight.

Beauty Al. Any idea what day the test flight will be? We are hoping to be out Thursday and Friday. Of course we'll have the camera.

Thanks for the comments.
Won't be today, after determining where to position the battery on its tray I pulled the whole tray out of the plane when removing the velcro held battery.  Going to need some reinforcement or some anemic velcro or a much lighter touch when removing batteries, or all the above.
Epoxy is setting up now, then I'll reinforce the tray.  Joints were good but balsa just snapped.

Al, one thing I've seen done with velcro that is too strong is to use multiple small patches of it rather than one big piece.

Some carbon, epoxy, reducing the velcro area on the batteries and much slower battery removal seemed to do the trick as the battery tray held up for the first three flights.
Operator modification is still required to reduce the incidence of downline stalling at 2.5 feet altitude.

They have medications for this.
